The Story Behind Every Dip

It started with a grandmother who got up before the sun to cook for everyone she loved. It still starts there.

Who We Are

Traditional flavors,
a Chicago twist.

Just Dip It Tacos was founded and is operated by Jessica House. It began in 2023 with a simple goal: bring the rich culinary traditions of her culture into the heart of Chicago.

Jessica's cooking is rooted in her grandparents' home, where food was the glue that held family and friends together. Her grandmother would wake up at 4 a.m. to start cooking for everyone — and watching that taught Jessica just how much good food can do for people.

"Inspired by her grandmother, who would wake up at 4 a.m. to prepare meals for everyone, Jessica learned the profound impact that food can have on people's lives."

That's where Just Dip It Tacos comes from — a commitment to good food and memorable experiences for the community, one dipped and griddled taco at a time.

What We Stand For

Built On The Blacktop

01

Taquero-Style

Everything comes off a 10x10 ft tent with a blacktop grill — birria dipped, griddled to order, served with consommé for dunking.

02

Locally Sourced

Ingredients sourced locally, for the freshest and most natural flavor in every bite.

03

Room At The Table

Vegan and vegetarian options — including oyster mushroom as a protein — so more people can dig in.

04

Woman-Owned, Community-Rooted

A proud minority-owned business, partnering with local dispensaries, car dealerships, breweries, and Chicagoland farmers markets.

Along The Way

From family kitchen to Chicago's blacktop.

2023

Just Dip It Tacos is born

Jessica House starts serving QuesaBirria Tacos in Chicago, inspired by the way her grandmother cooked for everyone before sunrise.

Since

Beyond the taco

The menu grows to include on-site catering, personal chef service, and pop-ups at local businesses and Chicagoland farmers markets.

Today

Giving back

Jessica runs youth entrepreneurship workshops in underserved Chicago communities, introducing young people to business ownership through the same drive that built Just Dip It.
